Dark Chocolate Haystacks

15oz Bag $5.98 $1.79

The luxurious, decadent flavor of these haystacks makes them seem almost too exquisite to be considered an everyday snack. However, these nostalgic delights can quickly become one of your favorite ways to satisfy your sweet tooth. The dark chocolate provides an amazing balance of intensity and smoothness. Haystacks are an ideal personal snack and a fantastic addition to a party table.

Not the easiest snack to eat, and probably a little tough on the teeth. And since it’s so big (about 2 1/2 – 3 inches around) and it takes a bit of time to eat, the chocolate melts in your fingers and makes a mess. But I like the chocolate, very tasty and the coconut is at least healthy.

    1. The clusters are way too big. They are not the easiest things to eat and honestly a single one could be more that what an individual would want to consume in one sitting.
    2. They are not the most visually appealing snack. Not really that big of a deal, but due to this construction it tends to break apart in such a way that makes it rather mess to eat. Best way to consume is to place it in a bowl, microwave it, and use a fork.
    3. While this is listed as discontinued now, it was not when I made the purchase. However, what I ended up receiving was Milk Chocolate Haystacks. While I imagine there’s not too much of difference, the dark chocolate version would most likely have been a more balanced snack as coconut is already quite sweet.

Very disappointed. The haystacks were visually unappealing and very bitter.
